Last year, we remodeled 98% of 1950's ranch-style home. We gutted our kitchen, tore down a load bearing wall and built on a 30 foot deck. We added 600+ sqft to include a mudroom, laundry room, pantry, guest bathroom & office. We transformed an outdated guest bedroom, bathroom and den into a stunning master suite and nursery for our youngest child. And just for fun, we got a new roof, all new plumbing, fire sprinklers, main water line, and concrete hardscape in our backyard.
I share all this to say that Kim at KJM Design was the lifeblood of this massive project! Despite scale, complexity and headaches, she designed and delivered the 1950's refreshed and modernized home of our dreams.
She was unwavering in her dedication and never missed a single detail. She was always 10 steps ahead to ensure our home was not only gorgeous, but functioned practically for our family of 5. She turned every potential setback, into a bonus improvement ie: a spice cabinet to accommodate for the swing of our freezer door, repositioning the door to our guest bathroom to avoid having to remove a shower, repurposing existing lighting fixtures, the list goes on!
On top of all of this, she maintained laser focus on our budget and where to spend vs. where to save.
And finally, she did all of this with a great attitude and kept it FUN.
In summary...book KJM Design for any of your design needs. It will be the best design you make as part of your project!

The most amazing designer we have ever worked with! We have had 2 separate remodels done with KJMDesign. The first was a living/dining room refresh. It came out glorious. The second remodel was a kitchen/bathroom ADA remodel to move our disabled family members in with us and to make them feel at home and comfortable. I can not express the attention to detail, the heart and soul that went into making our home BEAUTIFUL, handicap accessible but also having the most beautiful finishings. When my grandmother said "I feel like I am in a spa" I cried happy tears because I knew she was safe but also felt a sense of belonging. I will never use another designer. Character, honesty and integrity mean something. I NEVER had to worry about budget or something not being done the right way. I was always given multiple options and pros and cons. When things felt overwhelming she would break things down so that we could digest everything. We are so grateful for Kim and her professionalism and love of design. She truly blesses our lives.
